The price on a camera page is for the body only. Every lens is quoted as its own line, because a body and a lens lose value at different rates. With more lenses than bodies in this year's Chandigarh purchases, getting the lenses right matters as much as getting the body right.
Open your model's page and press the button to get the exact value. The figure at the top is the maximum for that body in Flawless condition. Your own figure then depends on the condition grade (Flawless, Good, Average or Below Average), how long ago you bought the camera, and the accessories you still have, such as the box, charger, battery, bill and bag. At the store or at your door, the check covers the front, the back with the screen on, the top plate, the base with the serial number, the sensor and mount with the lens removed, and the accessories. Two short videos are recorded: the camera powering on and firing the shutter, and the information screen. If it matches what you entered, the price stands. If something material is different, you are re-quoted with the reason and you are free to decline.
You are paid on the spot after the check, by bank transfer, UPI or cash. Above Rs 10,000 we prefer bank transfer. A government ID proof is needed. Our guide on how payment works when you sell a used camera explains each option.
We do not buy dead cameras, so charge the battery before the check. If a body has failed, its working lens can still be sold on its own.
