The Nikon D3400 was bought by a lot of people as their first DSLR, very often as a double lens kit. That is still how it comes back to us. Between February and August 2026 we bought 19 Nikon D3400 bodies from sellers across India, and most of them arrived with two lenses. Our catalogue lists it as a 24.2 MP crop-sensor camera launched in 2016.
You will not find a rupee figure in this guide. The live price for a D3400 changes when the market does, and a number written here would soon be wrong. What we can explain, and what stays true, is exactly how the price of your D3400 is put together.
These three look close enough to confuse anyone. The model name is printed on the front of the body. Nikon moved several buttons on the D3500 to the right of the screen, while the D3300 and D3400 keep a column of buttons on the left. The price form asks four things about the body, and the lens is a fifth, separate part.
The figure at the top of the Nikon D3400 page is the most we pay for a D3400 body in Flawless condition. It follows the market, so it can be different next month from what it is today.
The D3400 body is mostly plastic, and plastic shows rub marks on the grip, the corners and the base. Look at it in daylight before you choose. You pick the grade; our agent checks it at pickup, so an honest grade avoids a surprise at the door.
The brackets are 1–4 months, 4–12 months, 12–18 months, 18–24 months and above 24 months. The newer the purchase, the closer the figure stays to the Flawless price. If you still have the bill, its date answers this.
For the D3400 the accessories that add to the price are the original box, the charger, the bill or invoice, the bag and the battery. None is required to sell. Double lens kits were often sold with a bag, so check the cupboard before you fill in the form.
The price on the camera page is for the body only. A kit with two lenses is quoted as three lines: the body, the first lens and the second lens. A body and a lens lose value at different rates, so one combined number would be unfair to one of them.
Price requests on our site show what D3400 owners usually add. Of 11 requests since May 2026 that named a lens with this body, 9 named the AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR and 7 named the Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II. Nikon has sold more than one version of the 18-55mm, including AF-P and AF-S versions, so read the exact name printed on your lens barrel before you choose it on the next step. Before you price the lenses, a two-minute look through the glass against a light tells you whether there is fungus or haze. Our guide on checking a camera lens before selling shows what to look for.
The agent checks the D3400 in front of you: the front, the back with the screen on, the top plate, the base with the serial number, the sensor and mount with the lens removed, and the accessories. Two short videos are recorded, one of the camera powering on and firing the shutter and one of the information screen. If everything matches what you entered, the price stands and you are paid on the spot. If something material is different, the agent re-quotes with the reason and you are free to decline.
Charge the battery beforehand. We do not buy dead cameras, but a working lens from a failed body can still be sold on its own.
