This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from you when you use our website or Service, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights over it. We collect your mobile number specifically to confirm you are a genuine customer (via OTP) and to reach you about your quote — this is the primary purpose of the OTP/KYC step on the price page, and the number is not used for unrelated marketing without your consent.
We use your data only to: generate quotes and process your sale to us; schedule and complete pickups; make payment to you; maintain transaction records for accounting, GST, and legal compliance; and to prevent fraud (including verifying that a device is not stolen or encumbered, per our Terms & Conditions).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with: payment processors (to complete your payment), our logistics/pickup personnel (to complete the pickup), and government/law-enforcement authorities where required by law (for example, if a device is reported stolen).
We retain your quote and transaction data for as long as reasonably necessary to complete the transaction, respond to any dispute, and meet our accounting/tax record-keeping obligations under Indian law (generally up to 8 years for financial records, per applicable tax law). Data collected for a quote that does not result in a sale is retained only as long as needed to follow up with you, after which it may be deleted or anonymised on request.
You have the right to: ask what personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; and request deletion of your personal data, subject to our right to retain what the law requires us to keep (e.g., completed-transaction records for tax purposes).
To exercise any of these rights, email support@sellyourgadget.in or contact our Grievance Officer (Section 7) with your registered mobile number. We will respond within 48 hours and act on valid requests within 30 days.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (including Google Analytics and Google Ads/Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure the performance of our advertising.
