"Sony old camera price" and "old Sony camera price" are searches people run when they have found a Sony Alpha from the early 2010s and want to know if it is worth anything. The answer depends on which one it is, and that is the first problem: the A58 and A68 are one kind of camera, the A3000 and A3500 another, and the A5000, A5100 and A6000 a third, and they do not all take the same lenses. This guide lists the seven older Sony bodies that have their own price pages on this site, explains the A-mount and E-mount split, and tells you what the agent checks on a body that has been in a cupboard for years.
A-mount (the SLT bodies, with a translucent mirror and a DSLR-style shape):
E-mount, DSLR-shaped:
E-mount, compact mirrorless:
All seven are in the Sony section of sell mirrorless camera. The newer A6100 to A6700 are in selling a Sony A6000 to A6700, and every Sony line, old and new, is on one page in every Sony model we buy.
Yes. Our purchase records show 8 Sony Alpha A6000 bodies bought from sellers across India between March 2026 and August 2026, and the A6000 page carries that line live. The records also include A58 and A5100 bodies; the A5100 is common enough that it shares a guide with the entry Canons in selling a Canon 1300D, 3000D or Sony A5100. The A68, A3000K, A3500 and A5000 are listed with their own pages; they come in less often because fewer were sold in India, not because we decline them.
The name is on the front of the camera and on the base label, and the firmware screen in the setup menu confirms it. The lens mount is the thing that matters:
The lens is a separate line on every one of them. The Sony lens catalogue on this site holds 32 lenses across two series, "Sony DSLR" for A-mount and "Sony Mirrorless E-Mount", and the DT 18-55 mm SAM II is on the list. So an A58 with its kit lens is priced as two lines, body and lens, paid together at pickup; how a used lens price is worked out explains the lens grades, and how to check a lens before you sell the fungus and haze check, which matters on a lens that has sat unused in a humid city.
Four inputs, the same as for every camera on the site: the model page sets the maximum for that model in Flawless condition; the condition grade is Flawless, Good, Average or Below Average; the age bracket is under 4 months, 4 to 12, 12 to 18, 18 to 24 or over 24 months, and for all seven of these bodies it is the last one; and the accessories you still have, box, charger, battery, bill and bag, each add to the figure and none is required. On a camera this age the grade and the accessories move the figure more than the age does, because the age is already reflected in the model page. That is the short version of how much you get for an old camera in India, which walks through the site's own rate tables.
The standard sequence: front, back with the screen on, top plate, base with the serial, sensor and mount with the lens off, accessories laid out, a power-on video with a few shutter actuations and the information screen. On these bodies:
If the camera matches what you entered, the quote holds and you are paid at the door by bank transfer, UPI or cash. If something material is different, the agent re-quotes on the spot with the reason and you are free to decline.
The A37, A57, A77, the NEX-5 and NEX-6 and the A3000 without the K suffix are not on the price form; the Cybershot compacts that are listed, the W830, WX220 and RX100 line, are in the compact cameras we buy. Send one photo to Instant Quote or call or WhatsApp +91 95608 22859: we tell you whether we buy that model and quote manually. The camera must power on and fire; a dead body is not accepted, but a working A-mount or E-mount lens can be sold on its own on sell lens.
Free doorstep pickup in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore and the other cities on our city pages; sell by courier from anywhere else in India. Before pickup, back up and format the card and clear the Wi-Fi pairing on the A5000, A5100 and A6000; the steps are in back up, reset and unpair your camera.
It depends on the model page, the condition grade, the age bracket, which is over 24 months for every camera in this guide, and the accessories you still have. Open the page for your model, answer the four questions and the figure is on screen; the lens is a separate line.
Yes, both have their own price pages, and A58 bodies appear in our purchase records this year. The DT kit lens is quoted separately from the Sony DSLR lens series.
The A5000, A5100 and A6000 charge over USB and did not always ship with a separate charger, so the cable counts as the charging accessory. A separate wall charger, if you have one, is listed as well.
They are not listed yet. Send a photo to Instant Quote or WhatsApp us and we will tell you whether we buy it and quote manually. The E-mount lens from it can be sold on its own in any case.
