The APS-C Canon R bodies (R50, R10, R100, R7) have their own guide. This one covers the full-frame RF-mount line: the original EOS R and the RP, the R6 and its Mark II and Mark III, the video-oriented R6V, the R5, the R5 Mark II and the cinema-flavoured R5 C. These are the cameras Indian wedding studios and commercial shooters moved to from the 5D series, and they arrive at pickup with the wear that work brings. This guide lists the nine pages, tells you how to identify each, and explains what the agent looks for on a body that has shot a few hundred events.

How often do we see them?

The R6 Mark II is the one that moves: our purchase records show 14 Canon EOS R6 Mark II bodies bought from sellers across India between March 2026 and August 2026. Then 6 Canon EOS RP bodies between February 2026 and August 2026 and 4 Canon EOS R6 bodies between February 2026 and July 2026. The records also include the original EOS R, which the Instant Quote tool identified in two of the first 150 photos sent to it. Which one do you have?

The name is on the front plate to the right of the mount and on the base label; the firmware screen in the wrench menu confirms it and is what the agent records at pickup. Tells if the plate is worn:

• EOS R: the only one with the touch bar on the back (a flat strip right of the viewfinder) and a top LCD. Single SD slot.
• RP: the smallest and lightest full-frame body, no top LCD, single SD slot, LP-E17 battery (the small one shared with the 200D).
• R6: no top LCD, a mode dial on the top left, two SD slots, LP-E6NH battery.
• R6 Mark II: same shape as the R6 with the mode dial redesigned to include a photo/video switch under it; two SD slots.
• R6 Mark III and R6V: the current bodies; the R6V is the video-first variant with a fan and a tally lamp on the front. The plate names them.
• R5: top LCD, one CFexpress slot and one SD slot, the 45-megapixel sensor.
• R5 Mark II: same layout with a photo/video switch and the newer sensor; the plate says Mark II.
• R5 C: the R5 body with a cooling fan housing on the back that makes it noticeably deeper, and a separate video operating system. Two card slots like the R5.

RF and adapted EF lenses are separate lines

Every page figure is for the body only. RF lenses, and EF lenses used on the Canon EF-EOS R adapter, are quoted on their own lines in their own grade and paid for together with the body at pickup. The Canon lens catalogue on this site has 66 lenses across the DSLR, M-mount and RF series. The EF-EOS R adapter, including the control-ring and drop-in filter versions, is listed as an accessory with the body.

What changes the price

1. The model page sets the maximum for that model in Flawless condition.
2. The condition grade: Flawless, Good, Average or Below Average.
3. How long ago you bought it: under 4 months, 4 to 12, 12 to 18, 18 to 24 or over 24 months. The R6 Mark II, R6 Mark III, R5 Mark II and R6V are recent enough that many sellers are inside the younger brackets, which is where the bracket matters most; see the age brackets we use.
4. Accessories: box, charger, battery, bill, bag. None is required. The bill matters more here than on an entry body: without it the camera is treated as out of warranty regardless of age.

Above Rs 10,000 we prefer bank transfer, and every full-frame body is above that line; how that works at the door is in how payment works when you sell a used camera.

What we check on a body that has worked

The standard sequence applies: front, back with the screen on, top plate, base with the serial, sensor and mount with the lens off, accessories laid out, and two short videos. On a full-frame R body the grade usually comes from:

• The sensor, with the lens off, for marks. On the R5, R6 and later bodies the shutter closes over the sensor at power-off, so ask the agent to power on before the sensor check.
• The articulating screen and hinge, which on a wedding camera has been opened and closed thousands of times.
• The card slots: both SD slots on the R6 pair, the CFexpress slot on the R5 family, reading and writing.
• The mount, for bayonet wear where heavy RF zooms have been changed hundreds of times, and clean contacts.
• The viewfinder, for a working eye sensor and clear glass.
• The HDMI, microphone and headphone port covers, which crack on rigged video bodies.
• The battery, LP-E6NH on most, LP-E17 on the RP, and whether it holds a charge. The battery grip, if you have it, is an accessory.
• The power-on video with a few actuations. The shutter count is one input to the grade, not a cut-off; our shutter count guide explains how to read it.

If the camera matches what you entered, the quote holds and you are paid at the door. If something material is different, the agent re-quotes on the spot with the reason and you are free to decline.

Frequently asked questions

How do I tell an R6 from an R6 Mark II?

The Mark II has a photo/video switch under the redesigned mode dial and the front plate says Mark II; the original R6 has a plain mode dial. Both have two SD slots and the same battery, so the plate and the firmware screen are the reliable tells.

Are my RF lenses included in the R5 price?

No. The page figure is for the body only. Each RF or adapted EF lens is quoted on its own line from the Canon lens catalogue and paid for together with the body at pickup.

I lost the bill for my R6 Mark II. Can I still sell it?

Yes. Without the invoice the camera is treated as out of warranty regardless of age, and the bill line in the accessories is left empty, but the sale goes ahead on the condition grade and age bracket like any other.

Do you buy the R5 C and the R6V, the video versions?

Yes, both have their own price pages. The agent checks the fan housing, the ports and both card slots along with the standard sequence, and the same four inputs decide the figure.
